Wendy, also known as Bubbe, devoted 35 years to the Philadelphia School District, where she welcomed children each morning with a smile, a hug, or a wave—often the only kindness they saw that day. Now retired, she finds purpose in baking, especially challah for her synagogue community, a tradition she has helped sustain for nearly a decade. On December 31, 2024 Wendy survived a tragic accident that claimed the lives of two close friends.
