What is Recipe Philly?

Recipe Philly is a first-of-its-kind restaurant built around the recipes, stories, and traditions that define Philadelphia. Through a citywide competition, local home cooks share meaningful family recipes for the opportunity to earn a place on our opening menu. The result is a dining experience where every dish has a story behind it.

When does Recipe Philly open?

Recipe Philly is scheduled to open on August 10, 2026, in Center City Philadelphia.

What kind of food does Recipe Philly serve?

Our menu is inspired by the winning recipes from the competition and the diverse communities that make Philadelphia unique. The final menu will be announced after the competition concludes in late July.

What is Heirloom Hospitality?

Heirloom Hospitality is our belief that food is more than nourishment. It is memory, tradition, and connection passed from one generation to the next. Every dish on our menu is rooted in a real person, family, or community story. Our team embodies that same spirit, bringing the food and beverages to life through warm, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels part of the story.

What makes Recipe Philly's kitchen different?

At Recipe Philly, caring for people extends beyond the food we serve. Our all-electric kitchen was designed to create cleaner air, safer working conditions, and a more sustainable restaurant environment. Unlike many traditional restaurant kitchens, our equipment minimizes grease and cooking emissions in the air, helping create a more comfortable experience for both guests and employees.

We've also invested in systems that reduce waste, prevent grease from entering the city's wastewater system, and support environmentally responsible cleaning practices. It's all part of our commitment to Heirloom Hospitality: caring for our guests, our team, and our community while building a restaurant designed for the future.

Where is Recipe Philly located?

Recipe Philly is located at 1401 Arch Street in Center City Philadelphia, at the corner of Broad and Arch Streets. The main entrance is located on Broad Street, directly across from the Pennsylvania Convention Center and just steps from City Hall.

Will I be able to make reservations?

Yes. Reservations will be available through Resy. We will announce reservation availability closer to opening.

Will you offer private events, catering, or online ordering?

Yes. We plan to offer private events, catering, and online ordering. Additional details will be released in the coming weeks as we prepare for opening.
